STI Assets Management Highlights Profitability and Growth Ambitions at Inaugural AGM

STI Assets Management Limited held its inaugural Annual General Meeting on 17 July 2026 in Victoria Island, Lagos, marking an important milestone in the company’s institutional development. At the meeting, the company reported approximately ₦370 million in profit before tax for the 2025 financial year, its second full year of operations. Assets under management stood at approximately ₦16 billion, following a strategic focus on profitability, portfolio quality and sustainable returns. The company also highlighted its progress from securing a Fund and Portfolio Management Licence from the Securities and Exchange Commission in December 2022 to commencing operations in July 2023 with three approved investment products. Other achievements included strengthening paid-up share capital to ₦2 billion, enhancing corporate governance structures and receiving ratings of MQ3(NG) and BBB(NG)(mq) from GCR, alongside a BBB rating from DataPro. The Board recommended a dividend of 5 kobo per share, subject to shareholder approval. The AGM also considered a proposal to increase the company’s share capital to ₦5 billion, positioning it for the broader Tier 1/Class A asset-management category. Looking ahead, STI Assets Management plans to pursue Issuing House and Broker/Dealer licences as part of its ambition to become a fully integrated investment banking institution with broader capital-market and advisory capabilities. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Momohjimoh Raji thanked shareholders, clients, regulators, directors, employees and business partners for supporting the company’s journey and helping to build a licensed, profitable and increasingly recognised asset-management institution.
